Ear cropping and tail docking are basically cosmetic surgery procedures for dogs. Studies reveal puppies feel pain when they are docked at 3 days old. Cropping is painful too and requires weeks pf recovery, I don't understand why these brutal practices are not banned as in other countries.

I wonder if there's a surgery to make my poodle look like a mastiff. That's worth any price.

Alicia and a couple of others on here, I have Bulldogs, healthy ones, you shouldn't jump on our breed because of the bad breeders, why not look at the good ones??? On Facebook is a group "the league against pedigree breed bashing" go and take a look at the videos of healthy Bulldogs. That Bulldog on there has nothing wrong with it, the soreness is caused once again by humans not cleaning them properly. You take on a dog with wrinkles, take a few minutes a day to wipe them out, simple! The problem with Bulldogs comes from the pound signs ringing in peoples ears who know nothing or care nothing for the breed, and breed anything with anything faults and all. once again though its the rest of us who get slandered for breeding unhealthy dogs.

This is horrible, most of them are absolutely unnecessary and there is no reason why you should allow your poor dog to go through the intense pain of recovery. I understand if it is essential for their health but I find it terrible that people do this simply for the appearance of their pet. I find it equally as sickening that people care more about their designer handbags than a real living creature. They don't care enough about their cat to move the useless piece of material somewhere else.

seriously people -___- get a life some of these things are done for good reason and with good care... if someone got their eye removed they'd want a fake one..that's obviously what the owners thinking when she gets her dog the fake balls...and if you learned to read you would see that the face lift actually helps the dog to see and breathe and against infection.. and so ya maybe they shouldn't breed that type of dog.. but u look that dog in the face and tell it you wish it wasn't alive... kthxbaii

Cosmetic surgery for pets... Just the consideration is already rediculous. What else is there to say...?

Me and my wife constantly joke about my English labs giant jowls... Tonight I jokingly looked up dog plastic surgery and came across this. It made us lol that we could get a doggy face lift and get those wet saggy chunks of meat removed from his face..... But alas I <3 my dog and don't really care that his jowls are soggy and keep his chest perpetually wet. He is a dog, and slobber dries.
